Vacature

Purpose of the role

As CFO Europe, you are responsible for designing, building and leading the complete European finance organization. You act as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO Europe and are a key member of the RTT Europe Executive Team.

You will lead the European finance function, governance structures and reporting framework, supporting the organization in growth, restructuring and M&A activities. Your role enables the RTT Europe executive team to make data-driven, well-substantiated strategic decisions.

This role goes beyond classic CFO responsibility. You will build the European finance organization from an existing but decentralized structure, migrating consolidation and governance from RTT AG to the new European holding in the Netherlands. That requires a leader who is comfortable making design choices, navigating temporary ambiguity and building while the organization runs. Candidates who draw their strength from managing an established finance function will not be the right fit for this role.

Build the European finance organization

  • Design the European finance organization together with RTT AG — structure, roles, governance, staffing — without a predefined blueprint.
  • Lead the migration of European consolidation and reporting from RTT AG Global to RTT Holding Europe.
  • Hire and develop the three cluster leads; build the team beyond the current Dutch base.

Reporting & control

  • End responsibility for European consolidation, accounting policies and reporting standards.
  • Establish a robust governance and internal control framework (AO/IC) across all countries.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning at European level.
  • Provide transparent and consistent reporting to the European executive team and maintain close contact with the CFO of RTT AG.

Treasury, tax & capital structure

  • Design and implement the European treasury and cash pool structure.
  • Develop and monitor the European tax strategy, including transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assess fiscal and financial implications of legal entity restructuring per country.
  • Responsible for European working capital management, liquidity planning and financing strategy.

Performance, risk & M&A

  • Build and roll out the European KPI and performance framework (financial and operational).
  • Set up enterprise risk management at holding level.
  • Lead M&A activities: business cases, due diligence, valuation and post-merger integration.
  • Provide financial leadership in strategic decision-making and portfolio management.
  • Drive finance digitalization and data-driven performance management across Europe.

Executive team collaboration

  • Active member of the RTT Europe executive team and co-shaper of European governance.
  • Functional leadership over local CFOs and finance directors.
  • Close partnership with CEO and CSO on strategy and value creation.
  • Collaborate with Head Governance & PMO on legal restructuring.
  • Maintain close alignment with the CFO RTT AG regarding consolidation, reporting and governance matters.

De organisatie

RTT Europe is establishing a new European holding structure to support further growth, governance and value creation across its European entities. The organization operates in a dynamic international environment with a strong focus on financial transparency, operational excellence and sustainable growth.

The CFO Europe will play a pivotal role in transforming the European activities currently embedded within RTT AG into an independent and professionally governed European holding structure.

During the build-up and transformation phase (2026–2027), the emphasis is on designing, implementing and embedding a scalable finance organization across Europe — with a high degree of autonomy, design freedom and end responsibility for structure, people and processes.
